Diversity of Place Workshops 1st May

Home. Sweet. Home.

The Diversity of Place key line of enquiry visited and held focus groups in 4 neighbourhoods  (Kings Norton, Welsh House Farm, Mosleley and Kings Heath and Druids Heath on 1st May.   Residents in all four neighbourhoods had a strong sense of attachment towards their local area.

Residents in all four areas felt that there were some issues which needed improving.  Residents in Moseley and Kings Heath felt that road safety was a key issue which needed improving in their local area.  In Druids Heath, residents felt that the high rise housing was in too much disrepair to be habitable.  The cost of public transport made residents in Kings Norton 3 Estates and Welsh House Farm feel isolated from the city centre.

Are these findings representative of the issues that need improving in these areas?
